AIO 1.9 Intermittently Loading
AIO 1.9 Intermittently Loading
Evening,
Struggling with things since the back and forth Sunday...
I try to be very good about letting Xeon do it's thing on startup...typically the Titybong weather and day-by-day pics loading means it's done...
But then sometimes it works, and other times it doesn't...
Right now...
Loaded it up...waited about 10 minutes, weather loaded, the trakd up top images loaded, but none of the others (movies, shows, etc)
Tried to search for a show...spinning wheel that just spun for a few minutes and then went to the "files" and 2 othe options (not the search...
Closed out...restarted...weather came up quickly, but then it froze...had to force stop through the Fire TV...
Restarted...waited...weather, tv channels, movies, trakt, (typing real-time)..hell, everything loaded...seems to be working fine on the 3rd or 4th try...
What am I doing wrong?
New TV, wired connection, debrid and trakt activated...
I DO have that "Simple PVR" enabled for channels and understand that could be the, or a, problem? That xeon doesn't play well with PVR clients? I was just looking for some way ro have a guide...
Sorry about the length, just wanted to be clear...
Any and all help or recommendations are much appreciated...

Re: AIO 1.9 Intermittently Loading
No idea, I see no issues using my PC or Nvidia Shield. And its not the build that doesnt play nice with the PVR, its the box your using that might not play nice. If your using a low power device, then disable the PVR and disable any menus and widgets you dont use.Dcc wrote: ↑Fri Jan 10, 2025 1:23 am Evening,

Re: AIO 1.9 Intermittently Loading
Appreciate it...
Head read somewhere it could be an issue...to be honest, I don't really understand the PVR piece...would love to be able to record bit that might be above my pay grade unless someone is willing to explain it Michael Scott style...
Was just looking for a way to have a TV guide...is there something else I should be using?
Will look for things to disable...

Re: AIO 1.9 Intermittently Loading
? Not sure what you mean, the TV Guide already works great. Are you using it? Or is your box too weak?Dcc wrote: ↑Fri Jan 10, 2025 2:49 am Appreciate it...

Re: AIO 1.9 Intermittently Loading
First...don't get me wrong...I've used a variety of builds over the years and this one is outstanding...so certainly not bitching...most certainly operator error...but I can't isolate it...
I am running it directly on the TV, so perhaps it's just a processing power issue...
But to the TV guide end...after doing a fresh install Sunday (and another last night) the first time you go to that screen I've been first (on first load) hitting the "set up TV guide" option first, just seems intuitive, and it installs the "SimplePVR" or some such...
Thus the PVR question...guide works great...
My issue is just that it's taking a couple of the previously described laps to be up and running...
But I'm not running a real PVR, just seemed like "SimplePVR" was how you got the guide to work...
If I were to do a fresh install, go to the TV option, and just hit one of the guides, would the guide work? Or am I supposed to be doing what I've done and hit the "Setup Guide" option first?

Re: AIO 1.9 Intermittently Loading
Yea, you just hit the Setup TV Guide button to install it. Let it load, then open the guide. Are you saying its not working for you?

Re: AIO 1.9 Intermittently Loading
Just following up...
So yesterday when I turned on the TV and hit Kodi, Xeon was sitting there already loaded, ready, and actually sitting on the last episode I watched.
Today, however, it wanted to load clean...got a funky "rouse mismatch error" then it wanted to "fix the skin" amd made me choose a flavor...all good...loaded, stalled...had to Fire TV force close, reopen, loafing, froze...and as has become normal, 3rd time seems to be the charm...
Don't use the laptop as often, but comparatively speaking, I think it's a processing power if the TV thing...
Is there something to be said for loading Kodi and then Xeon onto a Rasberry Pi?
The processing power would certainly be there, but I'm not sure how I'd do a remote...
And thank you very much for your help, and the build...it really is great...
And actually...while I have your ear, what HDMI plugable device would you recommend to use just for Kodi alone? Thinking Chromecast, Firestick, or whatever else might be out there...I can't figure out how to install on the future-x's Vizio...and need to keep it very simple for her...

Re: AIO 1.9 Intermittently Loading
Chef,
Thank you for your help and patience.
Basically this whole thread can be deleted unless it'll help someone else. Definitely a processing power issue. Grabbed a 4k firestick and loaded it up for the future-x...running like a charm...no issues...about to do the same thing at my place...the TV just can't handle it as well as even a firestick, much less a real machine...
Thanks much!
