Trakt changed the auth token settings, so it's not a bug.
Account manager has been abandoned, so it's also not a bug. Chef/Diggz patched it enough so updates can still take place and Real Debrid can be authorized using it. Trakt has to be authorized for each addon you plan on running Trakt on and not authorized using account manager.

Just a user here wanting to use the build and not search out every post on a subject hoping someone else has the same problem I do.

Everything was working fine and then I updated to 4.0 and now Trakt will not stay working. Your comment is news to me, and so I tried to revoke all the authorizations and then reauthorize them from the manager, and then repeated the process in each addon it itself.

Every time I do this Trakt will display our next up shows again, but will not record watched episodes and the next time we open Kodi our lists and next episodes will not load again...

Do you have a link to the new way of making Tract work? My entire watching experience is based off of Tract and it has always been superior.

The issue is you used account manager to authorize Trakt. Authorizing the addons separately after the fact won't work because Account manager will overwrite them again every time you restart Kodi. If you followed the 3 steps in the setup you wouldn't have this issue as there is no step there to use account manager to authorize Trakt. Now you will need to go to account manager and choose to revoke all Trakt, and then go back to step 3 and authorize the addons seperately.

Thanks. I followed your same instructions to someone else in the Xenon display issue thread. It appears to have worked. I don't remember going into Account Manager at all after installing this time. I know I did for the previous version. Could it have hung over? I know for sure I did follow the 3 steps in the setup.

It worked great for a day... several reboots of Kodi in now trakt is lost again. Just started asking for trakt to be reauthorized during an episode.

Decided to just reinstall 4.0 from the Chef Wizard. The first setup step has you install the addons then step 2 is to use the account manager for all in one. I skipped that step and did the addons individually from the menus in step 3.

It works on the first load. Will it continue to or is there something else I need to do?

You can still use Step 2 Account manager for Debrid logins only, just not Trakt. Trakt authorizations are removed in Step 2, only Debrid logins there.
