Problems, and not a newbie

Hey Chat, hey everyone—

I just watched MD’s latest video on YouTube about the Chief Build. Now, let me be clear: I’m not a newbie. I’ve got several years of experience setting up Kodi on both Android and Firestick.

That said… this one’s got me completely stuck.

I downloaded the repo, installed from zip, then from repository. Added it under “programs” and it says it installed. But here’s the problem: I don’t get the option to add a build—just the initial installation screen.

It’s been three hours now, and I’m still stuck waiting. My butt has gone numb from all the sitting, and I’ve had so much coffee I might not sleep until next week.

I commented on YouTube, and MD kindly replied with the following steps:

Check your Firestick for updates and restart the device

Go to Settings > Applications > Manage Installed Applications

Scroll to Kodi, clear the cache, then relaunch

Free up space by deleting unused apps

Turn off VPN during install, then turn it back on afterward

I’ve tried all of that—and still nothing.

I’m running a Gen2 Firestick with 3GB of free storage and a 1TB SSD as backup. Everything else in Kodi is working except this build.

Anyone got a fix for this? Throw this gal a bone—please!

Ok, so Im not understanding where your stuck exactly...

You say

So that means you installed the Chef wizard correct?
So now you go to Program addons and open Chef Wizard, choose builds, and install a build.
So where exactly are you stuck?
