Downloading Movies and TV Shows

Shield, AIO, Debrid, Umbrella.

I am unable to see or watch downloaded TV Shows content in the TV Shows folder created in Umbrella, Settings, Download. I have enabled Downloading and created two folders on my external drive connected to Shield. Movies and TV Shows. I downloaded a few movies and TV Shows, however I can only watch downloaded movies. The TV shows don't show any files or content I downloaded. When downloading movies and tv shows content it takes its time and shows 20%, 40% etc. then completed

FYI the Movies folder has a ".thumbnails" file but the TV Shows folder does not.

If I modify the settings download folder location for TV Shows to use the same Movies folder location, I am able to see and watch TV Shows downloaded content. How do I fix the TV Shows folder to include the ".thumbnails" ? I think this might be what's causing my issue.

I dunno about your external drive, but tested it on my Windows Pc and works fine. I dont think you are seeing a thumbnail, its just because the movie folder has the downloaded movie directly in the folder, so your seeng the movie file screenshot, the TV show folder when you open it has the season folder first which doesnt show the thumbnal until you click Season 1 folder

I wasn't talking about seeing a thumbnail. I was talking about the hidden thumbnail file/folder name in the Movies folder which doesn't exist in the TV Shows folder/directory.

Perhaps someone else with a shield can chime in about the TV Shows folder on Android TV.

Oh, well you didnt say anything about adding them to Kodi Library. Your confusing Kodi Library with Umbrella Downloads, they are not the same thing, and they are not the same location. You know theres a Downloads Folder that shows your downloads in the Umbrella addon, not in Kodi library right?? You can setup Kodi Library if you wanted to to read your umbrella downloads, but you would have to setup the library to your downloads path, not to the default Umbrella library path, they are not the same path. Open Downloads in Umbrella and see if they are there...

The umbrella downloads only showed movies, so in settings download section I used the same folder for movies and TV. Now umbrella download shows the same content in movies and TV shows.

How do I get Kodi to recreate the TV Shows folder correctly? I had previously deleted and manually recreated a folder TVShow, but I don't think it has the correct structure and permissions.
