The real debrid build won't even install for me

First, you will need to remove previous kodi and builds from your device, clear cache, clear data, uninstall app.
Then download install latest Kodi Omega 21 from kodi.tv
Then download and install the latest diggz build.

Did you download omega from https://kodi.tv/download/android/ Prerelease?

If yes, delete/cleanup some apps and downloads off your firestick and make sure you have sufficient freespace.
