Update to 1.8 is stuck on setup wizard

I was prompted to update from 1.7 to 1.8 on my ONN box. I went through it all and clicked Power Off, but now the setup wizard keeps coming up every time I start Kodi. How do I get back to my Xenon skin? I did clear cache on Kodi but that didn’t help.

Try a clean install:
Clear Kodi data, uninstall Kodi, install Kodi Omega, install build -in that order.

I'm having te same problem.

A few weeks ago my Kodi install advised an update to the Xenon skin which failed. Then I found info suggesting the skin was offline for a short period. Today I did a fresh install of Kodi Omega and started up the Chef Wizzard/AIO for Xenon Plus with debrid and I'm stuck in the AIO setup wizzard loop.

Same here. I’ve done clean installs multiple times but I’m stuck in the setup wizard “please wait for add on updates!” Screen. Sits on that screen for so long my tv turns off.

Ok finally figured this out. Just click to the skins section and install the Xenon skin. Once you do that it loads the xenon skin and all is good again.

Well, no it doesnt work for me. And yes i did a clean install. It parks at the installing updates screen, AFTER IT SAID IT INSTALLED 10 UPDATES. Wish you would drop the skins menu, seems to have some issues.

Please wait for addon updates after power off and back on. WHATS UP WITH THE UPDATES in your skins menu? maybe looking for something it cant find? SAY IS THERE A VERSION THAT DOESNT USE THE SKIN INSTALL MENU?

The screen isnt supposed to go away, its just there to tell you if theres any addon updates available because people are impatient and dont wait for things to update. If it doesnt show that there are any updates then your fine. So whats the problem your having then????
